About Kristina

Kristina obtained her PhD degree from the University of Bath in December 2016 for her work on atomic and molecular manipulation with a scanning tunnelling microscope. Prior to coming to Bath, Kristina graduated with an MSci degree from the University of Birmingham in 2012, where she completed a yearlong project on fabricating bimetallic nanoparticles.

Kristina joined the centre for photonics and photonic materials at Bath in January 2017 to work on three different projects all centred around the fabrication, characterisation and application of hollow core fibre for use with dense alkali metal vapours to provide a frequency standard for atomic clocks and with acetylene gas for metrology. Her projects are funded by The Light Controlled Factory (LCF), the Networked Quantum Information Technologies (NQIT) Hub and Innovate UK.
